Response theory for nonequilibrium steady states of open quantum systems

We introduce a response theory for open quantum systems within nonequilibrium steady-states subject to Hamiltonian perturbation. Working in the weak system-bath coupling regime, our results are derived Lindblad-Gorini-Kossakowski-Sudarshan formalism. find that of system small perturbation is not simply related correlation function system, unlike traditional linear closed or expectations from fluctuation-dissipation theorem. In limiting cases, when relative surroundings it does lead change eigenstructure perturbative expansion exists where sum functions and additional forces induced by surroundings. Away these regimes however, secular approximation singular cannot be captured approach, but can described reverting microscopic description. These findings illustrated explicit calculations coupled qubits anharmonic oscillators contact with bosonic baths at different temperatures.
